Primarily I offer a Complete Care service, providing all of your antenatal care from the point of booking, complete clinical care for a home birth (or support in hospital), and all of your postnatal care for up to 6 weeks after the birth of your baby. The cost of this service is £3300.
Holistic Clinic: I offer individualised midwifery consultations during your pregnancy, or afterwards. Alongside your standard care from NHS midwives, you can see me as often as you like, or just once to discuss a particular problem or condition. Treatments include complementary therapies such as reflexology, aromatherapy and moxibustion, applied specifically to a midwifery context. Either at home (£50 within 30 minutes of NR14 6EA) or at The Orange Grove Clinic in Norwich (01603 631 900).
At the holistic midwifery clinic we can address: Natural induction, encouraging breech babies to turn, nausea and vomiting, stress & anxiety, tension & fear, tiredness & insomnia, heartburn & indigestion, constipation & haemorrhoids, backache & sciatica, pelvic girdle pain, shoulder & neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, varicosities & oedema, recovery from birth, adaptation to parenthood, pain relief & discomfort after birth, breastfeeding problems, postnatal blues & depression
Breech Support: Non-clinical support in hospital if you are choosing a vaginal breech birth. Includes antenatal counselling, on-call support for the birth, resources and educational support for NHS staff regarding upright vaginal breech birth (if they are not already familiar), and postnatal debrief. Cost: £400 in the Norwich area.
Norwich Baby Garden: If you would like to meet me in an informal context before booking a consultation, or if you would just like to meet some like-minded people and get more information about your choices, you can join us in the Baby Garden on Wednesdays from 10.30-12.30 in Norwich. Cost: £3
I am a registered Tricare Provider (US Military insurance).
I cover the following areas, although others may be possible: Norwich, North Norfolk (including Aylsham, Holt, Fakenham), South Norfolk (including Diss, Wymondham), West Norfolk (including Dereham, Thetford), Acle, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, North Suffolk (including Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth, Ipswich, Woodbridge), Bury St Edmunds.
Please note: I am insured through the Royal College of Nurses to provide antenatal and postnatal care, and antenatal education, as a self-employed midwife. Professional Indemnity Insurance for care during labour is currently not available for Independent Midwives. Therefore, like all IM's, I work without insurance when I attend home births.
